Understanding the Classroom

While I greatly enjoy research, I equally enjoy obtaining hands-on experience by working with children in classrooms. I was fortunate enough to attend universities that have reading centers where undergraduate students, typically elementary education majors, are able to tutor struggling readers. By working and volunteering at both centers, I have had the opportunity to better understand how learning occurs in the classroom and, therefore, ways educational neuroscience can be impactful in those settings.
